Three days off and plenty of time to relax.
I started a little DIY project yesterday and made a planter trough for the patio and had a visit from a friend I haven’t seen in months.
Today I had a busy morning with a visit from a company cleaning our gutters and fixing our facia that got damaged in recent high winds, followed by a delivery of some more garden chairs and a few bags of compost for the trough. I managed to get the trough filled and ready for planting and the grass cut before the rain started.

The patio is really beginning to take shape. It just needs some plants. The sweetpeas are just sprouting and not ready for the trough yet but I may take a trip to the local farm shop tomorrow to see if they have some bedding plants to start with….. if it’s not raining!
So now it’s time to put the feet up and I’m channel hopping. I have settled on a film that I absolutely love and can never click past.

We Bought a Zoo is based on a true story and although it is set in the US and stars Matt Damon and Scarlett Johansson, the real Zoo is actually here in the UK! It’s a lovely film and a favourite ‘go to’ when I’m just chillaxing.
What do I watch later though? I don’t really want to get hooked on a series and there’s not much in the way of new movies at the moment. I’ve watched Godzilla vs Kong, Cherry, WW1984 and Chaos Walking but I really begrudge paying 10 – 15 pounds for a 2 day rental when we already pay for Netflix and Prime.
Ah well, not long now and the Cinemas will be open again. Can’t wait!!
