Anyone who reads my blog regularly will know that I’m not a religious person, but I’m not ignorant enough to realise that today is a pretty special day for a lot of people.
I hope that, whatever your belief, you have a wonderful day.
I plan to do just that.
I am going to see my eldest daughter, Murron, for the first time in months!
She is cooking us a roast dinner and I am going to be making Rice Krispie chocolate nests with her partners two little boys.
My daughter is also 18 weeks pregnant, so I’m going to see how the ‘bump’ is progressing.
The sun is already shining so it will hopefully warm up a little this afternoon because this morning was freezing!! There was ice on the car when I took my youngest to work.
Anyway, it’s a nice long weekend for a change.
Working as a nurse doesn’t always guarantee you bank holidays off, but my rota has fallen quite nicely over the next week. I’ve got three days off over this weekend, then two days on before another 3 days off, which is good, because I have a little project on the go in the back garden.
Yesterday was a chill out day as I waited for delivery of some garden furniture.
I’ve been wanting a new table and chairs for a while but was always horrified at the cost.
With the global decline in the use of plastic, getting hold of the old style cheaper garden tables and chairs is now gone.
In fact, getting plastic garden chairs is now getting quite expensive.
However, as I trawled the internet for ideas, I came across a local company who supplies wooden pub style garden benches, tables, chairs and bars at really good prices!
I ordered an 8 seater bench a few weeks ago and it arrived yesterday.
Actually really happy with it. It’s really sturdy and was an incredible price!

They do benches like this that will seat up to 12! They do separate tables and chairs and they also make bespoke bars to order, so if you want something a little different, give them a go.
www.go2darlows.co.uk Nice friendly service too!
I also decided to put my feet up and watch a new film yesterday too.
A movie that should have been released in the cinema, but due to COVID was release on streaming services for a price.
It’s a film daughter number 2 wanted to watch so once the table had arrived, we put our feet up and watched Godzilla vs Kong.
Mmm. It was OK. I did get a little bit snoozy. I found it a little bit ‘if you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all’.
Not saying it was bad, it just lacked a little originality in my mind.
Marjorie enjoyed it anyway.
Tomorrow I plan to crack on with my plan in the garden and hopefully my friend Debbie will be round to sit in the garden for a chat for a while. Haven’t seen her in ages either!
Anyway, better get ready to go to Murron’s.
Have a wonderful weekend whatever your plans are.
