So last night was a little depressing after hearing the news of Carrie Fisher’s death.

This morning however has been completely gutting as I worked my way through all the Facebook posts, Twitter feeds and my Tumblr dash only to be confronted by post after post, photo after photo, of people saying their goodbyes and sharing their stories.

It struck me hard that I’ve know this women since I was 8 years old.
She was one of the first heroines that showed me that girls can fight too.
She showed us how to overcome personal problems and give a big fuck you to the nay sayers.

To me, she is royalty.
