OK, so it finally happened.
After seeing the hubby read fanfiction for a few years and seeing certain tags and artwork appearing on my tumblr dash, I decided to find out what all the fuss was about with fan-fiction.

Bear in mind, I’m not a big reader and it takes a lot to hold my attention.

I thought, if I’m going to do it, I’m going to do it in style!
So I picked my current favourite fandom. Star Wars Episode VII
I picked the tag that keeps popping up on my dash, Kylux! (I may try some Reylo next!)
I dived right into the ‘adult’ side of fan-fiction and……..

I was pleasantly surprised.

I picked a story with a tag line that sounded interesting.
‘Kylo’s heat suppressant medication gets destroyed on Starkiller Base. He goes into heat on board the Finalizer.’

That should give you a good idea as to the content of this story!!

As I started to read it was clear that I needed to distance myself from the movies.
I needed to keep the characters in mind but forget entirely about the ‘family friendly’ movies I’ve come to know and love since I was 8 years old! Or in this case 2 characters that I’ve fallen in love with since December!

As an adult I was able to imagine these characters in an entirely new way and once I’d opened my mind to all the different possibilities that the beings in another galaxy could be, I found myself engaging in a relationship I’ve never even dreamed of…. but I think I might now!!

So, I now have ‘An Archive of Our Own’ bookmarked and I plan to read more.
A huge thank you must go out to ‘Solohux’ who wrote ‘Devour’, this first fan-fiction I read and that opened my eyes to all possibilities in a galaxy far far away.

I don’t think I can look at General Hux and Kylo Ren in the same way again!
