I had such a good laugh last night.
I can’t remember the last time I had a good, uncontrollable laughing session like that.
I was sitting in the living room with all three of my girls.
Ian had given up and gone to bed and we were left just generally having a chat and the conversation turned into a ‘let’s see how we can make someone giggle’ session.
It got a little bit naughty at times and certain things had to be explained to the youngest which just added to the hilarity but looking back on it, I’m glad I’m actually able to talk to my girls so openly!
I hate to think what it sounded like from upstairs. Ian must have thought we were going crazy!
Anyway, I’m now sat here contemplating cutting the grass in the back garden but there is a rather large and nasty looking grey raincloud working it’s way overhead so I’m holding off to see what it does.
Looks like a 50/50 chance of rain.
I’ve been sat here with my cup of milky coffee this morning, doing the usual scan of FB and Tumblr and as I expected, it’s gone a little crazy over a certain teaser trailer that was released yesterday.
We finally got to see an officially released teaser for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story due out this Xmas.
A little snack to tide us over until Episode VIII during Xmas 2017.
Well, I say “a little snack” but this looks like a full three course meal with an extra pudding for luck!
It looks absolutely amazing and gives me great hope that everything ‘Star Wars’ due over the next few years will all be of the same high standard as Force Awakens and we will not be dealing with the mindnumbing quagmires that Eps 1, 2 and 3 were.
Don’t get me wrong, 1, 2 and 3 were OK. I just found them to be very pretentious, quite dull in places and trying WAY to hard when it came to the CGI special effects. The look and feel didn’t flow too well into 4, 5 and 6, whereas Force Awakens flowed naturally, looked stunning and was more in keeping with 4, 5 and 6.
Anyway, back on to today.
Looks like I may have been lucky (if you can call it lucky). The sky appears to be clearing and I don’t think there’s been any rain so I might just have to get off my backside and cut the grass afterall.
I’m not complaining, I’ve got to do something to take my mind off of my cinema trip tonight.
I’m going to see ‘Midnight Special’ with Adam Driver, Michael Shannon, Joel Edgerton and Kirsten Dunst.
It’s the first time I’ve seen Adam on the big screen since Force Awakens and I’m really looking forward to it. The film looks pretty good.
So there we are. My day in a nutshell.
No doubt I will pop a quick reveiw of Midnight Special on here later tonight, it would be rude not to!
Yep, I’m definately seeing some blue sky peeking through, better take my chance with the grass while I still can.
