With Ian taking a big temporary pay cut this year, our Unlimited Cinema Cards are going to be even more important to us.
They will literally be our only source of time out together and I plan to make good use of them.
So, having a browse through some of the trailers that are already available, I can see that this year is going to be even more intense than last year.
So we start with January.
This month sees the realease of The Revenant
and Dirty Grandpa
If anything, this film is worth going to see just for Zac Efron with a stuffed animal strapped to his manhood dancing the Macarena!!
In February we have Hail Caesar. Another Coen Brothers classic!!
This year sees the first of the ‘adult’ superhero movies with Deadpool.
Gods of Egypt. This may be a naff film but it stars Gerard Butler…. so who cares!
Eddie the Eagle. I’m really looking forward to this one. As someone who grew up with Eddie the Eagle at the Olympics, I think this will be quite emotional.
March sees an arty farty film starring Christian Bale. Knight of Cups. My interest in this film is purely because Joel Kinnaman has filmed a part for it. He apparantly had quite a lengthy monologue but the director has a habbit of cutting things quite dramatically, so, until it is released, we still don’t know if Joel actually appears in it or not!
The Young Messiah
The Divergent Series: Allegient
The first of the big ones for the year, Batman vs Superman
April sees the release of the live action Jungle Book
As much as I hate Elvis and cannot for the life of me, understand why people love him so much, the next meove is Elvis and Nixon.
Don’t get me wrong, I actually like the Elvis movies but simply cannot understand why people loved, and to this day still love his stye of music!!
This film could go either way.
The Huntsman. Chris Hemsworth…. say no more!!!
May sees the realease of the next of the big ones for the year, Captain America: Civil War.
and then we have the next one… X-Men: Apocalypse
and then we have Alice Through the Looking Glass
June sees the release of The second Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie.
I loved the first one. I don’t care what you think, they have got them right, this looks awesome!!!
Then we have, Now You See Me 2.
I loved the first one but hope they can capture the twist of the first one with this one.
Who couldn’t remember the first Independence Day.
This year sees a second Independence Day. I just hope they have the same magic as the first one.
July sees the release of The Legend of Tarzan.
Then we have The BFG.
Then we have a re-boot of the Ghostbusters franshise, but as yet, there is no trailer to show you.
Then we have Star Trek: Beyond. To say I’m a little excited by this one is an understatement
Then we have Bourne 5, but as yet there is no trailer.
August sees the release of Suicide Squad.
‘The’ film I am waiting for the most this year!!
DC’s attempt at keeping up with Marvel.
It’s either gonna be really really good… or really really bad.!!
Now we are getting into the realm of film with, as yet, no trailer.
Bridgett Jones Baby, The Magnificent 7, Gambit, Dr Strange, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, The first stand alone Star Wars movie, Rogue One, Assassins creed and a reboot of Jumanji.
These are just a few mentionable ones.
I’m sure there will be a lot more in between!!
Bring it on!!
