Occasional rants

I am tipping my hat to the Sainsbury’s checkout assistant who refused to serve a customer because they wouldn’t stop talking on their mobile phone.

I speak from personal experience.
It is incredibly rude to blank a person who is giving you information or serving you.
Even if you think you are taking all the info in and responding to all the questions the fact that you never take your eyes off your phone or give 100% of your attention to the person who is dealing with you is incredibly rude.

I’ve seen it first hand.
Teenagers can barely take their eyes off of their phones.
I quite often have to ask them to put the phone down while I’m trying to give them information.
Most of the time their parents are just as bad.
I’ll be mid question, their phone will ring and they will just blank me and answer it!!

Don’t get me wrong.
I love my phone too but there’s a time and a place for it.
When you are being asked important questions or being given important information or even just acknowledging a shop assistant, the right thing to do is IGNORE the bloody thing.

Come on people, a few minutes without your phone is hardly going to kill you!!
