It would appear that even back in 2004 some of my biggest rants were about religion.
This one was no exception.

It all boils down to religion

Right, I said I would be venting my frustrations and opinions on anything I wanted and here is the first.
I am not setting out to upset anyone and I sincerely hope that no-one takes offence to what I am about to say.
I am a very free thinking person and I believe that everybody is entitled to believe in what they like and follow any god or scripture they choose. They should be able to do this anywhere in the world without comment or hindrance from anybody else.
I have just been reading about the crisis in the Sudan.
This kind of situation makes my blood boil.
When two rebel groups attacked the ‘Islamic’ government, accusing it of oppressing black Africans, the government responded my unleashing an Arab militia that it has not been able to control.
They have raped, killed and looted their way through villages, usually after raids by government jets.
The civilians caught in the middle didn’t stand a chance on either side.
Hellooooo!!!! The government is supposed to protect it’s people. This so called ‘Islamic’ government.
A religion ‘supposedly’ of love and understanding and discipline. What a joke that is right now.
The fact that this government and other third world governments can go ahead and spend millions on military equipment, and in some cases even a space programme while it’s civilians are starving and dying is beyond belief.
I’m sorry but it just seems to me that almost every war in history and a lot of recent ‘humanitarian’ incidents all boil down to just one thing. Disagreements on religion or beliefs…. of any kind.
